A mid to late 19th century Spanish fighting knife made in the town of Albacete and commonly worn as a civilian sidearm. This piece has a bulbous grip and pierced and filed brasswork. The guard and blade are steel with a pleasant patina. The scabbard is something special, being velvet with intricately worked brass fittings.
