A rather incredibly balanced broad cutting tulwar with a pronounced false edge with remains of the floral silver work design on the blackened hilt which to me looks like it was originally chemically blackened or blued, the patina is rich and even with a hint of tint. The blade is verging on tegha width but it retains rather incredible handling characteristics with a thin blade that compensate balance wise for the broad blade, this sword was meant for combat by someone who knew what they liked in the hand. On the hilt there is the remains of silver work on both sides. There is some age related wear to the blade but the hilt is solid. A good entry level piece for those wanting the more decorated style of tulwar. This sword can be yours for £245 or best offer.
