A rather pleasant piquet sabre by Mole, these piquet or undress swords were worn with the dress uniforms and were not usually carried in combat but on the odd occasion were just as a personal preference by the officers who carried them.
The sword was manufactured by Robert Mole and Sons, the suppliers to the War and India Office. This sword has the nicer of the two styles of Mole cartouche.
This sword has a chemically blackened and painted scabbard and is generally in good conditon with some age related cosmetic darkening. This sword can be yours for £295 or best offer.
