An absolutely incredible piece and a chance to own some serious history, these swords are direct descendants of the swords carried as far back as the 6th Century with this particular type being seen in artwork from the 11th Century. This type of sword can be seen carried by Krishnadevaraya in art, most prominently the statue at Chidambaram Natraja temples north tower in Tamil Nadu.
The sword has a stepped pommel with bow-shaped guards and a leaf-shaped spear point blade. The grip has been replaced to hold the guard and pommel in place. There is a chip to the blade as to be expected with a sword over five hundred years old. This sword can be yours for £2000 or best offer.
