M11777 Colonial Dragoon Carbine £600

A strange and interesting example of c1800 French musket having most likely been made in Arabic speaking French Africa during the colonial period potentially for the Zouaves or Foreign Legionnaires. The Charleville was also one of the most copied muskets of the 18th and 19th centuries muddies the waters a touch to its origin. Whilst most likely made in a French domain this could also be an Ottoman or Caucasian Russian piece.

This musket is in almost every way a M1770 Charleville two banded short musket aside from the Arabic stamps. The musket is similar to some of the officers shortened Dragoon variant, being 44.5 inches long. This musket can be yours for £600 or best offer.
