A nice hefty example of a 19th Centory Dha from Mindan village in Burma (Myanmar), recognisable by the incredible silverwork on the piece.
The blade is decorated from base to tip with incredible silver inlay showing a scene of nature with many animal and foliate motifs. Many of these pieces were kept as prize pieces, this piece has a "been there done that" feel which means it is showing its age which adds a nice feel to it and also means it is one of the more affordable Mindan pieces on the market.
The silver pommel cap is partly detached with minor losses. There is losses to the shagreen shown. The blade is in good condition,
This piece can be yours for £345 or best offer.
