C1860 Second Model Bacon Revolver £675

This is one of the rarer types of early American revolver, these were created by Thomas Bacon, a former supplier of gun parts and employee of the Manhattan Arms company, after setting off on his own Bacon created his own line of single shot, pepperbox and revolving pistols. This pistol was made under the company name Bacon Manufacturing Company and is one of a small run of 1400 pistols, this piece is serial numbered 189. This five shot revolver is chambered in obsolete .32 calibre was a fashionable second or backup revolver for officers of the Union Army in the US Civil War.

This pistol is in decent condition for its age and use. There is some damage to the hammer (seen in a lot of Bacon revolvers) and to the left grip scale. The pistol indexes for me approximately two-thirds of the time and could use a good clean to improve the aesthetics. Unlike many Bacon revolvers, the loading lever is intact. This rare pistol can be yours for £675 or best offer.
