C1740 Smallsword With Heirloom Blade £525

One of the swords featured in my "A Study on Smallswords" short article, this piece is an interesting example since its hilt dates to the first half of the 18th century and the blade is likely from the 17th.

The blade is a shortened cut down rapier with a deep central fuller tapering to a delicate point.

The blade has been shortened and is a touch under 28 inches long, The hilt is in good polish from a previous owner and the grip wire is tight.

This sword can be yours for £525 or best offer.
