A rather fun and fascinating early sabre in the Houndslow style with a slender Damascus or patterned blade, a faceted grip and steel hilt furniture.
The man in the moon maker's mark is prominently displayed on both sides of the blade.
It is rather interesting as it is a halfway point between proto sabre and hanger.
An example of this 17th century swords is held in the Royal Armouries, number IX.2139.
This sword can be yours for £995 or best offer.
