19th Century Qing Double Jian £495

One of the more interesting types of weapons found in Asia is the Chinese double Jian or Shuāngjiàn. These are two matched swords with halved hilts that fit in the same scabbard. Like the majority of antiques, these are of the shorter style of Jian blades. Whilst these are of middling quality they were made as functional weapons or that served a double function as interesting dress pieces. and had more work put into them than many of the lower grade ones with a shell covered sheath, engraved brass mounts and fittings with bat symbols for good luck and long life. These swords can be yours for £495 or best offer.
