18th Century Steel Smallsword £375

This all steel smallsword is a nice clean example in the English style with a nicely tapering hollow ground triform blade. The hilt is sadly bare of the original grip binding but it has its wooden internal which has been polished by centuries of hands holding it.

The hilt is incredibly delicate with a nicely swelling knucklebow and vestigial finger rings. The urn like pommel is very down to earth compared to many of the multifaceted pieces also used, overall the style leads me to believe this sword was retailed in England or Holland. The guard is a contemporary replacement plate which is indexed to give slightly more protection over the knuckles and back of the hand. This sword can be yours for £375 or best offer.
