A near perfect condition fullered 1788 pattern spadroon by Samuel Harvey of Birmingham, this piece has an incredible feel in the hand and a serious amount of point control, balancing a sword which feels like a smallsword but can also provide a hefty cut.
This sword has some of the most pleasing style of fullers, one large and a finer one near the back edge with the smaller terminating and flowing into the spear point of the blade with the wider continuing, this geometry is there to keep a stiff blade and make it light.
The sword is in good condition for its age with some age related staining but much of its original polish giving it a lustrous finish.
This sword can be yours for £550 or best offer.
