This is a rather interesting piece, a pre-regulation British clamshell spadroon. This sword is the predecessor to the 1796 Heavy Cavalry clamshell and those interesting Scottish other rank spadroons.
At some point, this sword has had its grip replaced by a turned walnut rod, the components however are in great condition and this would be a good candidate for someone who would be interested in replacing the grip and reseating the blade which currently has a bit of a backwards cant. Otherwise it does currently make a rather nice entry level 18th century display piece. This piece can be yours for £250 or best offer.
